It's about 500m from D3 666, which is plinthed in Bayswater park. Unlike D3 666, however, it's on private land and not easily accessible. Strangely, it's in relatively good condition, although the driver's cab has been stripped, some electrics do remain. It's also minus it's bogies. Front/driving cab view. The bogies and buffers are missing, as is anything else that can be broken, smashed or is of any value. The interior roof lining has fallen away - clearly due to water leaking in. Note the grab handles still intact and functional!! Interior Shot. A few, but not many of the seats remain One side has been almost completely spray painted over Should say See, 202 D it is!! note the desto roll is missing (should be blocking the long thin center 'window'. I wanted to ring the bell, but it didn't work :-( Another front view. I couldn't photograph the other end - there's a wall build hard up against it. The works offices are in one corner of the main carpark, ajacent to the up end of the platform. Platform access ramp. The 'safety zone' - such as it is The only sheltered seating in the whole station - enough for about 10 people, if you're all good friends... The high grey towers allow access to the roof area of the train, whilst the two raised sidings allow simultaneous under-train access. The facility has enough room to work on two six-car trains at any one time. Note that the platform 1 road is now out of service, and partly paved over - but this can be reversed at a future time with some quick removal of ashphalt and dismantling of the towers. Shots feature a six car X'Trapolois train stabled in 3 road - one of the few times (if not the only time) that an X'Trap has run on the Sandringham line.
